I took these photos of Chloe Carter and Charlotte Sartre nearly a year ago. I have no idea why it took so long to post these, especially because Charlotte is one of my favorite people to take photos of, but here I am writing about photos I took last February.

I think I met Chloe Carter at some porn convention, but honestly I don’t remember. What I do remember is that I went straight to Chloe’s place from the airport when I landed in LA and Charlotte met us there. I feel like I hung out with them for hours in this really cool house where she was renting a room.

I was working on my Instaxxx book at the time and that was sort of my main focus so I shot Chloe by herself for that since I had a ton of shots of Charlotte already. At some point Charlotte jumped in and we did a quick shoot outside. The backyard was so great but the light kinda sucked and those girls are so pale that I wasn’t loving the stuff we were getting despite the location. We ended up going inside and shooting some stuff with my flash and it actually turned out pretty well. I could not tell you the last time I liked the flash stuff better than the natural light stuff but here we are.

I feel like I am just gonna stop writing this post now and just give you the photos but I should try to sell you on some stuff first, because I like being able to pay my rent. First of all, these girls are both in Instaxxx and you should buy it. Secondly, there’s a pretty solid handful of photos of these girls that are a bit too NC-17 to post on here that you can find only on Girls of Driven By Boredom. Sign up already.

Here’s my final AVN week update for a while. This tends to be a popular one: Girls of AVN.  When I first started covering the AVN Awards I was mostly there to find people to take photos of, but it quickly became my beat and I have covered it for dozens of different outlets. I still would shoot photos for my website while I was there but I was mostly working as a journalist. Then a few years ago, I pitched Hustler on the idea of doing a “Girls of AVN” article that would be sort of half behind the scenes and half just naked photos of porn stars. I did that for a couple of years, and then shot a similar thing for director Greg Lansky using his models. That year and last year I shot a behind the scenes thing for Vice and the sort of sexy BTS galleries continued.

This year things were a bit different. My main gig was for Playboy which meant I had a bunch of free time to shoot my own stuff. I figured I had to do another Girls of AVN gallery just for my own website, but I also was with my girlfriend who lives thousands of miles from me, so I wanted to spend a lot of time hanging out with her. I think I found a good balance and shot a handful of mini-sets specifically for this gallery and then I also did a couple full photo shoots as well.

Okay, so let’s go through everything!

The first shoot I did was with my friend Jade. She designs lingerie and set her room up as a trade show booth which was pretty cool, but it made the room really dark because she had covered the windows. I didn’t bring my flash on day one because my plan was just to get my credentials and do a quick pass of the convention, but then I ran into Jade and had to do something quick with her. So basically there wasn’t nearly enough light to shoot her, but we managed to get some shots and I shot a ton of 35mm stuff with flash. She also had some friends hanging out in the room with her so I shot her with Aubrey Cyles who goes by ScummmyKitten. Their friend Mary Wana decided to jump in after that and we got some fun stuff like my new press photo. The photos in this gallery are pretty mediocre because of the light, but these girls are babes and the 35mm stuff should be awesome.

The next day I did a shoot with Evelyn Claire. I met her on Twitter a few months ago and I was really excited to shoot with her. I am actually pretty happy with the results of this stuff and we actually spent some time shooting so this is going to be a full gallery coming soon. For now I just gave you about 10 photos from the shoot as a little preview of what’s to come.

Up next is a super quick shoot I did with Cassidy Klein. I met her at AVN a few years ago and I just think she’s a great human. We were killing time waiting for my girlfriend to meet up with us and we decided to shoot some photos on the parking deck of the Hard Rock. I’ve shot up there so many times and I have done just about everything I can on that roof, but when we got up there we found a white hearse! It seemed like we had no choice but to shoot in front of it. The funny thing is that right as we were finishing up a second hearse pulled up and started honking at us. It turned out the person driving the hearse was a friend of mine and they had sort of a Vegas hearse crew because of course they do.

Next up are some photos I am actually really excited about. I had a cam girl stop me on the trade show floor, she flipped over my badge and said “I knew I recognized you!” She told me her name was Raya but she goes by WhiskeyKitten online. I knew exactly who she was after that and I had been wanting to take her photo for ages. She introduced me to her roommate for the week, another cam girl named Goldie Fawn. We made plans to shoot that night and when I got to their AirBnB I was amazed by the space. I took some photos of them getting ready and then we shot some weird stuff on their bed. At some point they mentioned wanting to shoot on the balcony that overlooked the city. I didn’t think it would work without a light and they suddenly pulled out one of the lights they used for camming and it actually worked perfectly. I am gonna publish all that stuff as its own stand alone gallery so I decided to just post the random shots we took before we shot on the balcony here as a preview. I think you are gonna dig this stuff and I can’t wait to see the 35mm stuff we shot. I ended up shooting them for about two hours when I had originally meant to do the whole thing in about 20 minutes!

Lastly, I got a handful of shots of my friend Cadence Lux. One of these days I am going to do a full shoot with her, but this is the second mini-shoot we have done in Vegas. We had a whole shoot planned when she lived in Philly but then she had to go fall in love and move to Denver with her boyfriend, but I forgive him because he shot my Christmas card for me. Anyway, on the last day of the convention I got breakfast with Cadence and a few other girls and we both had some time to kill so we did a quick shoot in her hotel room across the street. Cadence was half asleep without makeup and just chilling in her room smoking. It’s kinda the exact type of thing I love to shoot. Real life. We didn’t shoot a ton but I think we got some nice shots.

Anyway, this gallery is not as massive as some of my Girls of AVN in years past but there’s still 70 photos in this gallery and there’s another dozen photos on Girls Of Driven By Boredom. I shot some more explicit stuff of Jade, Cadence and Evelyn so I figured I would give you guys that stuff over on the pay site. As always photos over there are in high resolution and usually uploaded a day earlier than the free images on here.

When I was in Vegas last week for the AVN Awards I had to stop by the WoodRocket 5th anniversary party. WoodRocket is the completely insane adult film company responsible for ridiculous porn parodies like Hamiltoe and Dick & Morty. The company is the brainchild of my friend Lee Roy Myers who once made a Simpsons porn parody where he painted all the actors yellow. Lee Roy and his team make so much weird, brilliant shit and have managed to make a living through sponsorships and selling merch without having to actually charge for their porn. The WoodRocket tagline is “The future of porn” and they are probably right.

When WoodRocket first launched I sat down with the WoodRocket crew and pitched a road trip video series. “Road Strip” helped me pay for my Route 66 road trip that led to my first book “Get Your Kicks”. If it weren’t for WoodRocket I never would have been able to do the trip. Years later I went on a West Coast road trip I shot a photo series that was sort of a continuation of Road Strip, just in still form. One of the girls I brought with me was April O’Neil who is a big part of the WoodRocket team, both starring and directing stuff for them.

Anyway, I love these guys (I had dinner with them instead of going to the actual AVN Awards) so I had to hit their 5 year anniversary party. They turned their studio into a museum to all their weird props and did some of their web series live including Topless Girls Reading books. Unfortunately I could only stay for about an hour so the gallery I posted is mostly just photos of the museum and a handful of party photos. Fortunately I did manage to get my friend Kasey Warner topless on a giant Nintendo console which was my only goal before I left. Oh, also my hero Lloyd Kafuman was there so that ruled.

The AVN Awards/ Adult Entertainment Expo weekend has become one of the yearly events I cover without fail, but this year was a little bit different. Playboy was my only client this year, instead of a bunch of smaller clients, so I didn’t really have to shoot the AEE or the AVN Awards. I also am dating someone in the industry so instead of staying out until 5am shooting weird shit in the middle of the night and trying to hang out with random porn girls I just watched the entire first season of the Wire with her instead. It was great.

That being said, I really half assed it on my coverage of the AEE (and didn’t even shoot the actual awards) because I was just shooting it for myself. The first day of the convention I mostly just went down to get my pass and say hi to everyone. Day two I spent a little more time shooting the awards, but I also did some actual photo shoots which was sort of my priority. Day three and four I was shooting my stuff for Playboy so I didn’t really get much AEE stuff at all except for when I happened on the Greg Lansky booth and he was throwing money in to the crowd.

Long story short, this gallery is under 100 images and most of the people I took photos of are friends of mine. Still, there’s some nice stuff in here and congrats to Tori Black on her 2018 Vixen Angel of the Year award which is what the throwing cash into the crowd was all about. Today I am headed to Vegas for another trip to the AVN Awards. I have covered the “Oscars of Porn” for the last decade and it’s always a solid mix of weirdness, fun and horror that people keep paying me to capture.

Every year I tend to have a bunch of clients but this year I oddly just have one. It’s one I am pretty excited about it and it’s paying for my trip, but it’s been weird to see local media just disappear. The Village Voice was sold and I don’t know anyone there anymore. The LA Weekly was sold and they fired their entire staff. Gothamist/DCist/LAist/Chicagoist/Etcist are all gone and I am sure there are a lot more to follow.

Last year one of my clients was Vice. I had shot the AVNs for them in 2016 and they assigned it to me the day I landed in Vegas last year. I was actually really happy with the stuff I shot for them, and they had every intention to publish it, but the AVNs took place the day of the Women’s March last year and with all the political stuff going on they never ran it. Amazingly I still got paid (I was not so lucky with a Gathering of the Juggalos client that never published my work because it happened in between the Republican and Democratic National Conventions), but the photos never saw the light of day… until now!

This huge gallery of 35mm photos from the 2017 AVN Awards (and the Adult Entertainment Expo and surrounding madness) was the large edit I sent to Vice. This would have been edited down to a dozen or so images but I figured I would give you guys everything.

It’s cool to look back and see how some of it seems like it just happened and other stuff seems like it was ages ago. The very first photo is of Blair Williams and her friend Belen. When my Instaxxx book came out I ended up staying at Blair’s house and actually photographed Belen at her place. It feels like I’ve known Blair for ages even though we have only hung out a few times.

I shot Keisha Grey on the ledge of her hotel room which was totally fucking insane and ended up as a full spread in Instaxxx. My friend Lucy Everleigh introduced me to a bunch of cam girls including Ana Mercury who is now a pretty good friend and I finally got to shoot Holly Beth who I ended up staying with once and she actually crashed with me in NYC. There’s even a photo of my girlfriend in here who I didn’t even know at the time and didn’t even notice until just now when I looked at the photos again!

Oh, and there’s also some stuff I shot when we filmed a segment for the actual AVN Awards broadcast on Showtime where Jillian Janson and I were interviewed. I uploaded it here if you want to watch it. 

It’s almost 100 photos and there are at least 15 photos in this gallery I don’t hate. Take a look for it and hopefully I will be back pretty soon with some more AVN madness from the 2018 AVN Awards… but first I am gonna go hang out with my lady in a Vegas hotel room until this insanity starts.

You may recognize Magdalene from the road trip I went on in Florida a few months ago. I started the trip in Clearwater, FL and then Magda drove me to the insane Sausage Castle near Orlando and then from there I took a train down to Miami for some Miami Dolphins related madness. It was a pretty fun trip and I actually shot two full photo shoots of Magda on that trip… HOWEVER, this is not one of those shoots!

These photos are actually from a couple months BEFORE the trip. I met Magda at the Gathering of the Juggalos where we ended up collaborating on an article for Brooklyn Vegan.  Shortly after the Gathering I noticed after we met that she had a bunch of like sexy selfies on her Instagram so I mentioned if she ever wanted to take some photos I would be down. She told me that she had never done any professional photos, much less professional naked photos but was really into the idea.

She happened to be in NYC a few weeks later and she did her very first photo shoot. She killed it honestly and I really love a bunch these photos and I hate 90% of my photos.

I don’t really have much else to say about the shoot, but I will have more whenever I get around to publish the stuff we shot in Florida. The second shoot we did was in an actual movie theater!

Lastly, I should mention that these photos have been on Girls of Driven By Boredom for a few days now. They are twice the resolution on there and there are about 10 bonus images that you probably should see for yourself if you are a Magda fan.

Hey! I have had these photos forever and you need to look at them! I sort of in the back of my mind thought I had already put them up but it turns out I had not. I think you will like them. I like them and I hate everything!

This is Zoe aka Weed Slut. She is great and you should get to know her. I went over to her cool loft space where she lives with a bunch of cool artists and she designs underwear during the day and does stripper things at night which is pretty much the ideal jobs for model I met on Instagram. When she followed me I lurked her and I was like “oh, I need to photograph her” and then I did and now you get to look at the photos.

Basically I just took photos of her hanging out at home and smoking weed in her underwear which is pretty much a requirement for someone represented by the brand Weed Slut. She even gave me some Weed Slut rolling papers which are still sitting on my coffee table because I don’t actually smoke weed. Still they look cool on my coffee table.

Also this shoot was RIGHT before my Instaxxx book was sent to the printer. I had a couple holes missing in my layout and we actually shot two photos that ended up in the book based on the pre existing design. If you have the book see if you can find them and you can see how my brain works graphically.

After a long holiday break I am mostly back. I am sick as hell but that won’t stop me from uploading photos and given that I set up a photo shoot for tomorrow afternoon in a snow storm it’s not gonna stop me from taking photos either. I was hanging out with my girlfriend for the last week but unfortunately with said snow storm approaching she had to escape back to Detroit and I am left to my own devices again and it’s time to post some damn photos.

At the beginning of 2017 I went through all the photos I took in 2016 and created a photo dump gallery with all the random photos that didn’t quite fit in any update. I was working on my Instaxxx book at the end of 2016 so I had a ton of shoots where I mostly shot Instax film  but took a handful of digital photos. The same thing happened at the beginning of 2017 too and then I had a few other random things that didn’t really fit in any gallery… so here we are with another photo dump.

Keep in mind these are mostly random test photos and quick digital snaps for fun so this is not exactly my best work but some of you might wanna take a look anyway. If nothing else there’s a bunch of cute babes in here.

I am gonna go through everything in the order that they are in the gallery and try and give you a tiny bit of info about each shoot. Let’s do this.

The first shots are of my friend Kirra. I shot her in the snow on the roof of her old apartment and I took a handful of non nude snaps of her in her bed before we watched Suicide Squad for some insane reason. It was really too dark to take anything good. There’s more shots of Kirra later from her new apartment when I came over to check out her new space. I think we are going to do a proper shoot in there soon so be on the look out for that. She’s one of my favorite people to shoot and we still haven’t done a proper photo shoot.

Next up is a few random photos this girl Bella. She was hanging out with my friend Michelle when I shot her for my Instaxxx book so I shot them both together. I took a few random, poorly lit photos of Bella with my digital camera including an awkward selfie. I have pretty much spent the last year trying to shoot them both one on one and I finally shot Michelle. Hopefully Bella is next!

Next up are some shots I took of Holly Beth for APN Magazine. I put these up on Girls of Driven By Boredom already and they are non nude but here they are anyway. If you wanna see actual nudes of her look at this gallery. Oh and there’s another gallery of her and Giselle Palmer coming soon.

Next up are shots of my friend Emily the first time we met. I actually have some really nice photos of her that I will  be publishing soon but we just took film photos the first time we shot. I actually don’t even remember why we took these digital photos. Super random.

Jumping over the second batch of Kirra photos we have shots of Stevie Foxx aka Nicolette and American Cassidy. I had like 10 minutes to shoot photos of them so I mostly focused on Instax for my book and some film stuff but they wanted some specific shots of them so I took some random digital shots. I posted more of these on Girls of DBB, but here are some of the tamer ones.

Speaking of photos that are already on Girls of DBB, I shot mini set of Alexis Fawx in her hotel a few months ago. We shot some great 35mm stuff on the streets of NYC but then we shot some digital stuff in her hotel room really quickly. I already put the full mini set on Girls of DBB, but here are some of my favorite (less explicit) shots. Alexis is hilarious. I can’t wait to shoot her again.

The next photos are of Cassidy Klein. I shot her for personal promotional reasons in exchange for some Instax stuff for my book. She actually might be in my book more than anyone and for some reason I always shoot her with other girls. This set is also up on Girls of DBB, but again, I felt like you cheap bastards deserved a few shots too.

Mixed up with Cassidy’s shots are a few of Little Brown Eyes and her roommate Bambi. I shot these right before my Instaxxx LA book release where LBE performed with her band Kate Mo$$. The light just sucked in their apartment and I sort of gave up on doing a proper shoot but we took some film and we took an Instax shot that ended up in the International Edition of Instaxxx. There are also some more explicit photos from this shoot up on Girls of DBB because these girls are fun.

Up next is this girl Liv that I actually met on OkCupid weirdly enough. I saw her profile and I wasn’t trying to hit on her. I just thought she looked so fucking cool so I hit her up and asked her if she wanted to take photos sometime. We got lunch at some diner and she said she was totally down to shoot even though she had never done nudes before. We had planned on shooting one night because she was going to be in my neighborhood but she ended up blowing me off (or so I thought) I had taken my sleeping pills and was in bed when she showed up so I took some random photos of her in my room with these purple lights that I am sure I thought looked really cool when I was out of my head. Fortunately we did some way better photos that ended up in my Instaxxx book later.

Lastly we have Miracle. I shot a few photos of her with my pal Eddy when I shot a bunch of Eddy and her art. I put the bonus Miracle stuff on Girls of DBB back then, but here are a few shots for this site. This was actually a great day. I photographed my girlfriend for the first time that day and I got to shoot Eddy for the first time after years of trying and got to shoot some photos of her friend too. Plus there was a new Game of Thrones episode so that ruled and then I went and met up with my now girlfriend again and that was a pretty fucking awesome night.

Since we are nearing the end of 2017 I decided to take a look back on all the stuff I shot this year and I made a list of all the galleries I haven’t published yet. I actually have about a dozen full shoots that I haven’t published as well as a bunch of random outtakes and shots that don’t really merit their own gallery. I am gonna shove those all into one post around the 1st of the year like I did last year, but in the meantime let me hit you with a gallery I particularly enjoyed.

Way back in February I was in LA for the LA Art Book Fair and on my last night in town I booked a hotel because I had been crashing with friends all week and I felt they needed a break and I figured it would be a good location. I had a couple people left on my list of people I wanted to shoot but I actually couldn’t find anyone to take photos of that night. Fortunately for me, Anna de Ville was able to come by the next morning before I went to the airport.

I don’t actually remember how I met Anna but I remember thinking she was super photogenic for a long time. I was glad to get to take her photo and I had a specific shot in mind for my Instaxxx book. My room was right next to the hot tub and I wanted to shoot her in the tub topless while I was still in my room. Apparently one of the hotel employees caught her flashing me but we got the shot and it’s in my book. You should buy it.

I didn’t shoot that photo digitally so it’s not part of this gallery but we did shoot some photos of her in the bathtub which is always fun and Anna is real pretty so you are probably gonna enjoy the photos.

Also, I should point out that there are a handful of more explicit shots that I saved for the Girls of Driven By Boredom site. Usually I just shoot that stuff because it’s a reason to get people to sign up for Girls of DBB but I actually think they are pretty good photos for a change so take that for whatever it’s worth.

I am headed to DC tomorrow for Christmas and then I am headed to Detroit to visit my girlfriend so I might not update again until 2017 but I might come up with some reason to post on Christmas or something. Who knows? Just go look at the pictures of Anna and happy holidays or whatever phrase would trigger Sean Hannity the most.
