So okay, this is super weird. I am a really big fan of this site 23/6.com. They are an off shoot of Huff Po. It is satirical political blog that I found because some comedians I used to see all the time did videos for it. Eugene Mirman does political coverage, John Benjamin does fake Swift Boat ads and John Glaser… well John Glaser is just a weird, weird man. They also have animated Get Your War On comics which are pretty mind blowing. Oh and Bobby Tisdale and Joe Mandy do videos too… Lots of East Village regulars…

Anyway after the election I sort of steered clear of politics in general. This week I drove from Richmond to DC and back listening to right wing talk radio the whole way for some reason so I am back into it a bit. I guess I need to give a fuck who the Secretary of Commerce is all of a sudden. I guess that is the price you pay when your team wins. I know who the back up left guard is for the Miami Dolphins, I guess I should be able to defend the questionable choice of retaining Robert Gates as Secretary Of Defense some how…

Okay, the point is I checked 23/6 for the first time in a few weeks and I was catching up on videos and I saw this video where you had to guess if a person was a pornstar or a Democrat based only on a close up picture of a mustache. I have to tell you I was not doing well. In fact I got everyone wrong until I noticed a specific mustache… “That’s Ron Jeremy!” I exclaimed to no one in particular. I was right, but when they pulled back and showed the full photo I realized why I recognized it. I took the photo! It was pretty amazing, although it is on his Wikipedia page, so I guess that is where they got it. They didn’t credit me though, and I was in a strangely litigious mood (I am in the process of taking someone to small claims court) and I emailed them to complain about this. They were very cool about it, apologized and added my credit to the video.

Now admittedly this blog is long and rambling, but we are finally getting to the pay off, the money shot as Mr. Jeremy might say. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you… Democrat Or Pornstar: Mustache Edition!

Holy shit I wish this were real… Of course I mean the movie, if Sarah Palin becomes president I carve my own head off with a hockey skate.

The first time I saw Dave Hill do stand up about two years ago he showed a video of him interviewing people at Fashion Week.  It pretty much blew me away.  Yesterday I got an email from him with the newest video in his Fashion Week series.  I think you need to check it out as it is once again amazing.  In fact, I am posting the newest one on top and then the older ones below.  Make sure you check Dave Hill online here, or if you speak Japanese here.

This could be one of the best things I have ever seen dealing with politics on the even smaller screen. And just FYI it is from 23/6 which is quickly becoming my favorite website. The Get Your War On cartoons are even better than the comic, and my man Eugene Mirman kills it 24/7.

I have been sent this three times already, it clearly has to be seen. The Karl Rove thing is the best because I expect him to be a little slicker than this. Dick Morris and Bill O’Riley are hypocritical assholes anyway, so it is expected. Still this video is amazing. Send it to a conservative friend.

My friends Day By Day are getting ready for the second season of their show Stupid Face.  They just posted this new music video called “We So Broke”.  Evidently, poverty is the new bling.

The Onion News Network released one of my favorite of their videos so far today. Despite that McCain completely sold out his socially liberal beliefs in order to pander to the right wing and I am pretty positive that he would be a huge determent to this country if he was some how elected, I do find the fact that he can make a bow and arrow out of bamboo and his own hair and kill a man with his bare hands relatively impressive. He is probably the only candidate running for president that has willingly killed people. Semper Fortis motherfucker.

My friend Robyn is amazing…. and every bit as good as Annie Leivovitz. I am sure by now you have heard about this “controversial” topless photos of Hanna Montana star Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair. Well my friend Robyn shot two comedians who do a thing called “Red State Update” in the style of the Vanity Fair photos. I think the photos are pretty brilliant. Compare below.

Continuing my new found re-obsession with Tom Green here is a highlight reel of his interweb show from the first 1/3rd of ’08. Watching him play Chuck D is pretty remarkable. I also find myself liking Pauly Shore more and more as my life goes on. And I still have a crush on Kathy Griffin no matter how weird that is.
