I have not left town without a real purpose since I moved to NYC two years ago. I am always working with a band or taking pictures of something. Well I am leaving my camera (at least my digital one) and computer (okay, maybe not my computer…) at home and going fishing with 3 of my friends that I have known for nearly two decades. I met them all in 1991 in the same 5th grade class and amazingly we are still friends. Our fishing trip should be sweet, and I am not going to do anything else but relax. So, since it is still Not Safe For Work Week, but I am out of pictures from the Hot Movies party, you are going to get one special celebrity nudity update tomorrow that I have already planned out and then I am out of service until Tuesday.

You may have noticed I have not posted many photos recently. I took a break last week and this week I have gone out, but haven’t shot a lot. This is due to the fact that my camera is fucked, and using my old one is too hard of a step backwards, it feels really uncomfortable. I also have been trying to go home earlier and get a bit more sleep so I don’t get so worn out. I am taking an actual vacation next week. I am going to leave town and not do anything. No photos, no website, no work, nothing. It will only be for four days but I am going fishing and it is going to fucking rule. Hopefully when I get back from that I will be in full force again. In the mean time, I will still be shooting. I am going to Philly for some insane porn thing tomorrow so expect to see photos from that Sunday.

Anyway, the point is, to hold you over, I am looking for some original content. I found this old video I shot of some grits wrestling. Every year at the Meridian Coffeehouse in Williamsburg, VA (Not Brooklyn) they hold Grits Wrestling. At least they did when my friends went to school there. It has been years since I have been there or seen any of these people. I think this was shot in 2004 or something. Maybe 2003. The teams are my friends Judge and Nathan aka Team Slayer against team Stairway To Freebird featuring Maria and some girl who’s name I don’t know. It is a pretty exciting match and you can see Maria’s ass a lot, but it is mostly safe for work. Enjoy?

Vacation is going okay.  I haven’t seen anyone in three days, and I have gotten a very minimal amount of work done, but I have been waking up early in the morning and I have been getting a reasonable amount of sleep.  I cleaned my room a bit and submitted some photos to a web project.  Still, I have really have not accomplished much.  I think that if I can keep this waking up early thing going on, I will have no choice but to get some shit done this weekend.  Tonight I am going out, hopefully I will see you guys at Rebel as I need a little bit of adventure.  Then it is back to solitude through the weekend.  Anyway, I keep watching this video of Burt and Ernie rapping to M.O.P. so I guess you should probably watch it too… at least once.   Ante up motherfucker.

After my spell of exhaustion or whatever, I spent most of today asleep. This was not the plan, I had things to do. But I didn’t get out of my house until 5PM and then I was up until 8 and I took a nap and woke up at 1130PM. So, now I am pretty sure I will be up all night, but at least I will be able to get some shit done. Anyway, I start my week break from partying and girls and any sort of social life today. I will be spending every night, save Wednesday, working on getting my life together. Working on my Polaroid book, cleaning my apartment, working on the next version of this website, getting a portfolio together etc. I need to get some regular photo work so I can quit my day job. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Anyway, I would NEVER post something like what I am about to post, but it has to be done. I am allergic to cats and I have never been a fan of such things as this, but it just has to be done. This is the best funny cats video I have ever seen, so rejoice in its cuteness. Embrace the fluff. I love you all.

As the trendsetter/ early adapter that I am I have to let you guys know that the newest trend to hit the streets is the “Half-Stache”. The raw power of this ‘stache is so intense that not once but twice yesterday did beautiful women interrupt my fried chicken dinner to discuss my brilliant and brave facial hair choice with me last night. I am so sure of this new trends amazing power that I will make this promise. Anyone who rocks a respectable Half-Stache for 7 full days and sends me some sort of photographic proof, I will send you a DBB t-shirt whenever I get around to finally getting them printed. It will be sweet. I am not sure what the over/under is for how long I keep this, but please, but amongst yourselves.

Second small thing of note, although much less important, you may have come here looking for some photos from Byte on Sunday, Happy Endings on Tuesday or High Voltage last night and you have found nothing. This is because I am suffering from what might be known as exhaustion. I wake up at 1pm everyday, leave work at 2, get home from work at midnight, go out and shoot, get home at 5, work on this website until 8am and then start over. This is killing me. I did not get any sleep last night due to a friend taking mushrooms and not being able to make it home due to the fact that she thought she was in Tokyo and that all the taxi cabs had become alligators. Long story short is that after this weekend I am taking a week break from party photos except for the Jump party that I agreed to shoot weeks ago (more on that later). The photos from the aforementioned parties will be up tomorrow or Saturday. See you then.

That I have about 5 or 6 updates ready to go up, I just haven’t had time to get them up.  I am taking tonight off, and things should be up late tonight.

In the mean time I wanted to post this clip.  I have been holding onto it for a while now, waiting for an excuse to post it.  It is probably the greatest sports highlight I have ever seen.  A female streaker hits a shot from 30 feet out.  It is sort of amazing.  It is slightly NSFW as the girl who kicks the goal is in fact naked, but it is not really that bad, and it is really that amazing.

So I just switched to the newest version of Word Press.  So far I am not really happy with it, it takes me longer to upload photos and yesterday it deleted half a post, which may not have been its fault.  Not sure yet.

The one thing I do like is the Mp3 widget that lots of blogs have been using but for some reason I could not get to work on my old version of WP.  This is nice.  I like it.  The one problem is that it went and automatically converted all my linked text mp3s to these little flash things.  The problem with that is now on all mp3 posts previous to this one the MP3s are not label.  Other than that, it is great.

Okay, so now we get to the point of the post.  I wanted to post an Mp3.  I have been listening to the new Girl Talk album a lot and it reminds me about how when I first saw Girl Talk play with the Gaskets in 2004 or something at the Delancey I immediately thought about this Bit Meddler song Shitmix 2000 which was just this giant mash up of all these late 80’s early 90’s songs.  Then when listening to his new album I heard his song Like This it again reminded me of Shitmix.

So yeah download both songs and spin them at your party.

Girl Talk – Like This: Girl Talk – Like This

One of my favorite Werner Herzog shorts, God’s Angry Man, is available on YouTube. It is broken up into 5 parts and the first part is posted below. You can check out the rest of it here. It is about 45 min long and pretty much amazing. It is an interview with a hate filled televangelist who by the end of the film you almost feel sorry for, or at least feel some connection with. Part 5 has my favorite part in the movie where he mocks the FCC by running around hitting toy monkeys on the head. I don’t think I can possibly explain how great it is, and I am not sure you can fully appreciate it without watching the rest of the movie, so please do.

For two days I have sat at my computer at 5 AM and tried to figure out what to blog about. I have been sick and not going out, so I don’t have pictures and I have a few bigger updates in mind that I was going to do this weekend and spread out throughout the week but I was sick so I didn’t. Now I am just sitting here thinking… thinking of anything… something… to… blog… about…. I promised no more throw away posts, but I can’t even come up with one of those. Woah is me.

For those of you looking for the Zombie Sideshow party photos, they will be on the Village Voice on Friday, and as soon as they go live on there I will post them on here.

In other news, I am actually going to get a bit of sleep today and I am going out tomorrow so there will be pictures and stuff by Wednesday and I got a new camera (D300) so things will be “experimental”.

I don’t know how to work it yet, but I will be doing some test shots tomorrow.
