I have done several Post Office live blogs on my Twitter and people have seemed to love them so a few weeks ago when I did one I took screen shots of my Tweets and then instead of posting about them I totally forgot about them.  Yesterday I had an actually almost positive experience at the Post Office and it reminded me that I never posted the last live blog.  So guess what? You get to enjoy this shit today.  Hip hip hurray.

Here are a few things you need to know before reading this. One is that my post office is the Williamsburg Post Office. I have never been to a worse Post Office before but I hear that there are actually worse ones in NYC.  I find that hard to believe. Secondly the blog mentions two photos, one of them is a blurry picture of people standing around so you can just imagine that one, the other is a man sitting in a folding chair that he brought with him.  I have uploaded that for your pleasure so click here if you want to see it.  And lastly, remember to read these from the bottom to the top because that’s how Twitter works or something.

All jokes aside I have nothing fun for you today. Just a little house keeping and some links.  I just thought Miley Cyrus Naked would be a better title than “Bullshit you don’t care about, and other links”.

Mostly I just wanted to tell you guys that I am going on Vacation. I will be gone Saturday to Tuesday and then as soon as I get back on Wednesday I leave for another few days to cover THE GATHERING OF THE FUCKING JUGGALOS for the Village Voice. That is really happening. I will be sleeping in an RV for 4 days in the middle of nowhere so I have my doubts that things will get updated at all. I don’t even know if I will have electricity. That is for serious.

So things will be a bit slow next week and clearly they are slow right now. I have an update for you tomorrow, and I hope I will shoot some parties either tonight or tomorrow so I have some shots ready to go for the weekend, but like I said, it might be slow around here for a little while.

So since I haven’t taken a single picture since last Thursday you get made up updates that I have just laying around.  Remember when I rescued the kittens I found in a box on Avenue D? Well I took a ton of pictures of them but everyone was sick of hearing about them.  I feel like enough time has passed that I can drop some cute bombs on you again.  After this I am pretty much out of kitten updates as I found them new homes and hopefully they are being treated wonderfully.  They had ear mites but they got treatment, got all their shots and we found out they were both boys.  They are named Maven and Jameson.  Jameson is the black one and I got rid of him first so most of the shots are of Maven because I shot an entire roll of 35mm film of him the last day I had him.  I miss him the most.

Thees things are just LOL cats waiting to happen.  Whoever makes the best LOL Cat out of these pictures wins a DBB tote bag or something.

I shot pictures last night but I have a meeting and then plans and I am not going out tonight so I can get that stuff to you tomorrow AOK No Problem. I figured I would spend today catching up on some things that I have sitting around. This is going to be a two part update. The first one, this one, I have fun stuff for you like videos and links and good content like that.  In part two I just want to get some feedback about random stuff going on about my site. Sound like a good time? Let’s begin.

First off, let’s talk about this fucking cat.  I know after my bout with kittens you are probably sick of me talking about cats. I would be too. I kinda fucking hate cats. I am allergic and they are gross and have weird bugs and sores and all sorts of gross shit.  Also most of them are mean and the his and bite and scratch. Either that or they just lay around all day totally indifferent to the life that is happening around them. Now my vote for worst cat ever might be my friend Darenzia’s cat. I went over to her apartment for less than ten minutes because we were going to a party together and I met here there.  While she was getting dressed I was left with her cat who is fucking clearly possessed by Satan.  This Devil cat speaks in tongues and would not stop hissing at me and trying to murder my fucking family. Seriously, watch this quick video I shot and tell me he is not trying to plot a way to kill my parents.

Nextly, I mentioned this on my Tumblr but I wanted to mention it again. My friend Cortne Lanier is an amazing painter and she has a show in Brooklyn right now that you should check out.  Three of her paintings are based on photos I took so clearly they have to be awesome.  The gallery is near like 10 different trains so you have no excuse.  For more info and to see the paintings based on my photos click here.

Lastly, we have my friend Kayvon Zand’s new video. I wanted to blog about this with some other videos but it seems right now none of my friends have new videos out so he gets bunched in with this odd update. Kayvon is clearly a total weirdo, but he said he would make me a giant hat if I posted this video. It also has all sorts of people I love in it and it is a very cool looking video even if it’s a little bit overexposed. Plus if you are into like goth industrial stuff or whatever the kids are calling it these days, the song is probably pretty awesome. So watch this madness video and I will be back later with a really boring update.

So at about 6AM I was walking home and I saw a tiny kitten playing under a car tire by Avenue D.  After looking at him for a few minutes I realized he had a brother a few feet away under the other tire.  I sat down and sort of lured them over to me.  I am super allergic to cats but these things were so damn cute and clearly in not a real good position to be in.  I noticed that there was a box a few feet away and it appears someone had filled a box full of cat food and abandoned them in it.  They had escaped from the box and were hiding under car tires.  I calle 311 but all the shelters were closed.  I couldn’t leave them there so I picked them up and put them back into the box and we caught a cab back to Brooklyn. So I stayed up with them until my roommate got up for work so he could shower then I dried out the bath tub and put them in it and gave them some water and a towel to sleep in.  I got a couple hours of sleep and then got up to check on them.  They seem to be doing fine but the non-black cat seems to be a bit weak.  Anyway, I am going to take them to a shelter this evening if no one wants them, but they are so cute I figured I could find a good home.  So if you want to rescue some of the most adorable kittens I have ever seen in my life, please email me.  I need to deal with this soon because I am doing my 30th birthday party tonight.

I’m not really pregnant!

Driven By Boredom is all me. I take all the photos, I write all the posts and other than the occasional bit of help from a drug addict an intern, it’s all the work of one person.  But today a story came a long so great that I decided I had to have a guest.

Mike Nouveau is a DJ.  He was a Ruff Kid, he threw M at Darkroom and now he spins at Avenue when he is not gallivanting around Europe.  Mike is also not a nice guy.  A lot of people hate him and probably for good reason.  His absolute hatred directed at 95% of the human population is exactly why I like him so much.  The guy is clearly fantastic.

Anyway, a few days ago Mike was in Amsterdam when a burglar tried to steal his laptop. I followed the whole thing live as he Tweeted his tale from the hospital where he was trying to glue his missing toenail back on, but I will let him tell the story…

So pretty regularly I get people offering to either pay me to blog about some product or offer to send me free stuff to blog about. Once in a while I take them up on their offer, but usually I tend to turn it down.  People usually don’t want to pay me enough to clutter up my site.  You might have noticed this site is pretty much ad free.
