I have a bigger update coming soon but I wanted to get up a few selects from the event I shot yesterday to hold you over. New York Fashion Week is coming up and Laundry by Shelli Segal did an event yesterday that I stopped by to photograph.

They had three models try on the new collection and they would change into each new look and walk around the office showing off the outfits. The rest of the collection was on display throughout the office and  the whole thing looked really good.

I shot this for Laundry so I am not going to post a ton of stuff but I wanted to share with you guys a few images. Come back soon for a big update from my Vegas trip.

Okay! So let’s get the rest of these photos from Vegas up! I posted the AVN Award update earlier and now here are the shots from the 2017 Adult Entertainment Expo. Again, these happened more than a week ago and the LA Weekly already ran a gallery from them, but I have a bigger edit for you guys today and if you care about porn stars or weird photos from conventions then you will probably dig these.

I truthfully don’t have much to say about these that I haven’t said a bunch of other times. I have taken photos of the AEE every year for the better part of a decade and they don’t change too much… I cover them because all conventions are easy to get interesting photos and people like looking at porn stars… plus I get to see everyone and meet new models and did I mention it’s really easy to get decent shots? There’s so much going on you just gotta kinda point your camera once in a while and just meander around talking to babes. It’s a solid gig.

Oh, I should mention that while shooting the AEE I also shot this article for Mass Appeal about what embarrasses porn stars. I am pretty happy with a few of the portraits so you should check that out too.

Um, I also have a Vice article coming soon from this whole weekend and of course a number of photos from this Vegas trip will be in my Instaxxx book which you should pre order now.

I am back from my two week LA & Vegas trip and ready to get you some photos. I do this trip nearly every year around the Adult Video News Awards. I think I have shot the AVNs or at least the events around the AVNs every year since 2008. The trip is how I got started photographing people in the adult industry and now it’s become a good way to see friends, meet new models and make some money… plus with only a few hour drive to LA it’s a good excuse to hit up LA for a week without having to pay for a flight.

Given that the AVN Awards happened over a week ago I am clearly a bit late on these photos, but I shot them for the LA Weekly and posted that link everywhere so I figured that if you really wanted to see my AVN Awards coverage you had plenty of opportunities to do so. That being said, my edit is much bigger than the LA Weekly gallery and of course you don’t get to read a long, pointless, poorly written blog about it.

This year’s AVN’s were pretty cool because a lot of my friends won stuff. Adriana Chechik won Female Performer of the Year, Greg Lansky won back to back Director of the Year awards and my friends cleaned up the acting awards. Best supporting actress went to Joanna Angel and Xander Corvus won best actor. Best Actress went to Kleio Valentien who I actually helped get into porn many years ago after sending this 2009 photo shoot to Burning Angel! (Update: That gallery is broken for some reason but you can find it on Girls of DBB!)

Also it was hosted by Riley Reid (and Aspen Rae) and a bunch of other friends won awards too like my LA landlord Abella Danger who won best Star Showcase. Holly Hendrix won Best New Starlet and we aren’t friends yet but we talked about shooting soon so hopefully we will be by next AVN.  Oh, and Sgt Kabukiman NYPD was there and he’s pretty much family.

Today I am off to Vegas to shoot the 2017 AVN Awards aka the “Oscars of Porn”. I will be there for a few days and then I am off to LA for a few more. I will be working for a few clients in Vegas but mostly I will be working on my new book Instaxxx. I shipped 80 shots of Instax Wide film to Vegas already and I am bringing a couple boxes with me. Gonna make some god damn art.

Speaking of Instaxxx the Kickstarter is going way too well and it’s kinda blowing my mind. On Saturday I shot some Instax for Nakid Magazine at Hello Beautiful Salon during the middle of the day and Nakid put them up yesterday. Not sure if anyone bought the book after they ran but this model Aneta is such a babe so they came out pretty well and that’s good enough for me.

Anyway, while I am on the west coast am going to send you guys over to the road trip blog for shorter updates while I travel, but before I do that I have a present for you guys: I found a ton of photos I shot at AVN in 2014 and never published!

I shot a behind the scenes article for a magazine I am not going to mention in 2014 and they never ran it and I totally forgot to publish the photos myself which is crazy. Luckily this trip to Vegas made me look for a photo and when I saw it wasn’t on my website I suddenly had a realization I never posted these.

So, I have uploaded a big gallery of photos featuring Raven Rockette and Kleio Valentien naked on a roof, Jessie Lee naked in the halls of the Hard Rock, the last photos I took of Kimberly Kane before we broke up on the ride home from Vegas, Claire Robbins lounging on a bed and Asphyxia Noir in the balcony seats of the Joint.

I also found an entire gallery I shot of the Suicide Sirens who aren’t together any more but they are hot and naked it’s a pretty cool set. I will post those at some point soon but for now you just get a preview below…

Friday the 13th is the perfect night for a tattoo artist to open a bar. My friend Matty No Times and his partners launched A-Bar last night in Greenpoint. The bar looked great and it was packed all night. Too packed almost… I could barely take photos because I was too close to everyone! It was a great time and I saw a bunch of old friends (including a girl I went to homecoming with in like 1998!) but the highlight was probably when they branded a big A on the door to officially christen the place.

Now that you know about the party I am going to tell you a long pointless story about how I ended up there. Firstly I met Matty at the one year anniversary their tattoo shop Three Kings back in 2009. A year later Matty needed a liver transplant and Inked Magazine sent me to shoot his benefit. After that we started running into each other a lot more at Sailor Jerry events that we worked together but at all those Sailor Jerry events Matty never tattooed me.

Now we skip 2014 and the time that I bought a photo of Eazy E from NYC photo icon Ricky Powell. He took my photo and it ended up on Frank 151. I ended up making it my Facebook photo for a minute and that brings me to the next part of this pointless story: Buff Monster.

Buff Monster is a friend and an amazing artist and he needed some new press photos. I am a huge fan of bartering and I am kinda obsessed with Buff’s Melty Misfits. Melty Misfits are Buff’s own version of the Garbage Pail kids I (and every boy in the 80’s) collected as a kid. I told him I would shoot his press photos if he drew me as a Melty Misfit.

Buff went through my Facebook photos to find a good reference and ended up using the photo Ricky Powell shot of me for the drawing. When Buff gave the drawing to me I decided to get it tattooed on me. I asked him if there were any tattoo artists that dug his work and would want to do it and of all people he mentioned Matty.

Totally coincidentally I was in Three Kings a few days earlier and Matty told me that he needs a photographer from time to time and would be willing to trade a tattoo for photography work. I told him I was down whenever he needed me so when Buff mentioned Matty I hit him up immediately and that’s how I ended up with this sweet Matty/Ricky/Buff tattoo of myself!

So finally we come full circle and I am finally paying Matty back for that tattoo. Moral of the story is barter for everything. Money is for capitalist oppressors and people who like to eat food and have shelter. The end.

Anyway, congrats to Matty and Alex and all the other A-Bar partners on their new bar. It looks great. And keep opening more spots so I can come back and photograph them for more tattoos!

When I was 19 my girlfriend gave me a Polaroid camera and let me take naked photos of her. They were some of the first naked photos I ever took and 17 years later I am still photographing friends, lovers and of course naked models and porn stars on instant film.

I have spent the last 6 months or so working my ass off on my third book “Instaxxx” and the Kickstarter just launched.  This is probably the biggest project I have ever worked on and I hope at the end it’s the best thing I have ever put my name on.

With 2016 finally ending I figured I would go through my 2016 photo archives and pull a bunch of photos of babes that probably weren’t gonna ever see the light of day and then just add them all together and do a post. Clear out all that stuff and move on. I still have a bunch of solid girl shoots from 2016 that haven’t gone up yet (and to be honest probably some even older ones) but I just wanted to do some January cleaning.

I am not going to give you the run down of EVERYTHING in this massive gallery but I will hit on the highlights and sort of explain why these photos didn’t get their own update.

To start with there are some safe for work photos (or at least Instagram safe) that I shot while working on my upcoming instant film book. These are shots of friends of mine that don’t usually do nudity but were willing to pose for my book. In several cases I shot a handful of digital shots as well and they were just sort of sitting on my hard drive. There were also some shoots, like the one I did of Cassidy Klein and Melissa Moore, where I just focused on shooting film and didn’t really bother to shoot much digital stuff.

Also in this gallery there are two galleries that were poorly shoot and fairly graphic that I had already posted to Girls of Driven By Boredom. I shot Abella Danger with her emoji pillows when I was staying with her in LA a few months ago. That same week I shot Belle Noire in her hotel room. Both shoots were shot with flash and were just us fucking around killing time. I was hoping to get one or two decent shots out of it and that’s it but they made good content for Girls of DBB. I pulled a few of the tamer pics to give you guys for free. If you wanna see the rest you should probably sign up for Girls of DBB.

Speaking of Abella, one night we were hanging out with a bunch of people at Carter Cruise’s place and I took a few photos of Blair Williams and Abella while we were waiting for Carter and everyone else to show up. One of the photos from that night might end up in my new book but the digital stuff was trash but the girls are babes so enjoy.

There’s some random photos of Draven Starr from the night I did her podcast and some random shots from the first attempt at my instant film book Kickstarter video. There’s some shots of Annika Amour that I took with this cheap ring flash I bought. I tried shooting with it a few times and hated everything (like these shots of Heather Vahn) so I sent her the photos and didn’t do anything with them until now. There’s some shots of Joseline Kelly that are terrible cause I got stuck in traffic and we ran out of natural light and then she got really high and couldn’t open her eyes. Whoops. Oh and there’s some shots of my friend Sonia that I just didn’t love. Fortunately she looks so fucking rad naked that there’s a bunch of shots here with lurking.

Anyway, this gallery features 80 photos, more than a dozen girls and shoots and a lot of fun stuff to look at. You can see these and more in high resolution on Girls of DBB (I posted this whole set three days ago there!) and up have a happy fucking 2017.

Just wanted to get on here late and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I posted it on Instagram already but I feel like you guys need to see my Christmas card. I sent out about 100 of these in the actual mail but you get the digital version. Actually, if you still want one in the mail I can still make that happen. I got like 100 cards left still and a couple dozen stamps.

Anyway, this Christmas card is actually a Polaroid that was shot at Exxxotica NJ back in early November. I had this idea that I was going to launch my naked Polaroid book Kickstarter December 1st and then people who backed would automatically get a Christmas card but the video wasn’t ready to go by then and I would rather hold off until it was ready. This book is gonna be a big one and I need to do it right. Look for it in early January.

The Christmas card features (from left to right) Dahlia Sky, Cassidy Klein, Cadence Lux, Samantha Rone and Stevie Foxx. The actual photo was taken by Cadence’s boyfriend Nick. I think seeing a bunch of naked girls evened out the fact that he pretty much had to see my balls. I hope you guys feel the same way.

So yeah, Merry Christmas everyone, happy various other winter holidays and New Years and whatever. I am in DC for a few days but I should be back to NYC on Wednesday and back to work getting ready to launch this book.

A few times a year I do a post about the Miami Dolphins and you just have to deal with it. On Saturday my Dolfans NYC partner Michelle and I threw a massive event called the #MetLifeTakeover. We run the aforementioned NYC Miami Dolphins fan club Dolfans NYC and over the past 8 or so years we have turned it into the biggest Dolphins fan club in the country and raises tens of thousands of dollars for charity in the process. Our #MetLifeTakeover event has become one of the biggest events on any serious Dolphins fan calendar and we sell around 1000 tickets to the Dolphins @ Jets game every year.

This year the game was on a Saturday night so we did things a little differently. Instead of having a party the day before at our bar Slattery’s Midtown Pub we held a pre-tailgate party starting at noon. We got to Slattery’s around 10am to start setting up and I didn’t get home until around 2am. Long fucking day.

The Dolphins organization has been very supportive of our events and sent broadcaster and former Dolphin Joe Rose to film his show “Cup of Joe” live at our bar. Team vice-president and Dolphins legend Nat Moore came with him to co-host the show. Also one of my favorite players of all time, former CB Sam Madison came up and actually hung out with us all day and even sat in the cheap seats way up top with us. He tried to pay for his tickets but instead we talked him into hosting our #MetLifeTakeover video (coming soon!). It was pretty amazing.

The party was a lot of fun and we did a free raffle and then did a live auction and raised some money for charity. We also raised another $1500 selling raffle tickets to a team signed helmet that the Dolphins sent us. After merch sales all in all we raised close to $3500 not including the money we made throwing the actual event.

The tailgate didn’t go as smoothy as usual. Our normal DJ couldn’t make it and we ended up renting a PA and getting a friend of a friend of a friend to DJ and he apparently didn’t have the right cords and so I spent most of the tailgate trying to figure out how to make that work. Eventually we got some music playing but it was kinda a disaster. On top of that one of the 6 busses we rented broke down so we had to load about 50 people on to the already packed busses. The whole thing sort of killed me but fortunately everyone seemed to have a great time even if Michelle and I were super stressed out.

Thankfully we had some great sponsors again. AQUAHydrate provided a ton of water for the event and we went through a case of Sailor Jerry very quickly as the Sailor and hot apple cider drinks we made were a huge hit. Pabst Blue Ribbon actually came out to the event and passed out gloves that had cup holders in them so you can drink your PBR with incredible style and class. So thanks to all of those guys!

The game itself was fucking amazing. The first half was kinda close but the Dolphins destroyed the Jets in the third quarter scoring 3 TDs in a five minute span. I lost my voice quickly and we could easily be heard on TV cheering for the Dolphins. The NFL Network was joking about how loud we were and how many Dolphins were at the game. A bunch of players mentioned us and the Dolphins social media posted about us several times throughout the night and posted this video the next morning. It was all pretty fantastic.
