Juggalos, Juggalos and More Juggalos…

My 2012 Gathering of the Juggalos coverage is sadly coming to an end. I have one more update after this one and I think we are going to have to save it for tomorrow just because I am currently on a train headed out of town on vacation. I am staying the night in DC and don’t actually leave for the beach until tomorrow evening so I will have time to get the last update done then.

This post is the bulk of what’s left. We have all the shots of just juggalos hanging out. This is the party picture type stuff that didn’t fit in anywhere else. There are a lot of half naked jugalettes in here but for the most part it’s at least reasonably safe for work. If you were at the Gathering and you are looking for the photos I took if you they are probably in this gallery. It’s over 200 images of juggalos, juggalos and more juggalos… and a couple of juggalo dogs. So sift through this stuff and enjoy all the crazy mother fuckers that make the Gathering my favorite event to photograph.

And Juggalos… if you don’t see yourself in here maybe you are in the Juggalo Portrait gallery or if you happen to be a juggalette and you had your shirt off you probably ended up in the Naked Juggalette gallery.

So until tomorrow…

Naked Juggalettes

Every year I cover The Gathering of the Juggalos by FAR the most popular post is the naked juggalette photos. In 2010 I gave it the catchy title of “Juggalo Porn” and then I got yelled at because it’s juggalettes so in 2011 I called it “Juggalette Porn” but this year the post is just going to be called “Naked Juggalettes” mostly because I am already on the first page of google for Juggalette Porn so I figured I would try something else. Gotta get those page views!

Speaking of page views I think I know why this stuff does so well. When I post photos of hot naked chicks a ton of people look at them but they don’t show their friends because sharing porn is creepy. But with the juggalettes there are enough fat ones and crack headed looking ones that it’s funny to share them with your friends even though we all know you are secretly jerking off to this stuff. Don’t lie. I know you.

So get fucking excited because today I am finally bringing to you 91(!) photos of naked or at least topless juggalettes for your pleasure and horror. This is the post you have been waiting for so show your friends this madness already. Tweet and Facebook this shit and do whatever you must to show the world these clearly life changing and of course photos. Make sure you send these not safe for work photos to your friends while they are at work. Thank you for your time. That is all. And now without further ado…

Backstage At Bloodymania 6

I grew up watching WWF Wrestling Superstars in the 1980s and then again in the late ’90s I watched a little more wrestling when WCW/NWO were having a Monday night ratings war with WWF or WWE or whatever the fuck it is/was but by 2001 I was pretty much out of wrestling. That’s not to say I don’t appreciate the sport and I certainly could talk wrestling with someone relatively competently. I just don’t have the same interest in it as I did as a kid.

The Insane Clown Posse has their own wrestling league called Juggalo Championship Wrestling or the JCW. They host a main event called Bloodymania at the Gathering every year (I shot Bloodymania 4) and I was tempted to photograph this years chapter but by the time Bloodymania 6 rolled around on Sunday I was pretty much over taking photos. I shot nearly 7000 shots in the 5 days I was at the Gathering so I was ready to call it quits. I had an idea that I would hang out backstage and maybe get some wrestling portraits.

I didn’t know what the rules about photographing wrestling behind the scene, I know it would be terrible etiquette to photograph the heels and the heroes next to each other and I didn’t know enough about the events of the evening to figure out who was who so I asked Upchuck the Clown, the host of the evening, what I should do.  He decided to introduce me to an old wrestler who was running the promotion who then proceeded to yell to all the wrestlers that I was from the Insane Clowns and I wanted to “make their picture” and put it on the “Psychopathic Internets”.  He also told me that when I got the photos developed I should send him 8″x10″s.  He kept calling wrestlers by their wrong names insisting, for example, that the Headbangers were called the Head Hunters. At one point in the evening I was trying to photograph a wrestler in the pitch blackness that was the back stage area and I hit something on the camera which caused the auto focus to fail so I went back in the tent to get some light. The promoter saw me there and when he realized my camera wasn’t working he accused me of not being a professional and asked me where my photography shop was. The whole thing was sort of amazing and three hours later when I was losing my mind with exhaustion I couldn’t stop laughing thinking about him. One of my fellow journalists actually started crying laughing when I told her the story. The dude was bad ass though and introduced me to some wrestlers to get some pictures.

The last thing I will say is that it’s pretty depressing seeing what wrestling has done to some of these older guys. To anyone who doesn’t think professional wrestling is a sport spend an hour back stage before a wrestling match and you will see the pounding these guys have taken over their whole careers and see what athletes these guys really are. This gallery is pretty small because I was just taking a few shots here and there but if you are a fan of wrestling of any era you will recognize a bunch of these guys.

Juggalo Portraits

This is my favorite post of all the Gathering of the Juggalos posts this year. Yeah the naked juggalettes I am going to post tomorrow will get the most traffic but this gallery is my favorite portraits from the festival. I decided to shoot a lot of these day time portraits at F 2.8 so it would give a low depth of field and blow out the background just like I would if I were doing a proper photo shoot. I probably should do that whenever shooting day time event stuff because I am really happy with the results.

Juggalos are one of my favorite subjects and a number of these people I got to talk to for a long time before or after I took their photo. I met a number of people who had helped destroy a guys car who had been kicked out of the Gathering for stealing. One of those guys was homeless and he had spent a month and a half walking from Oregon to get to the Gathering. While he was at the festival he had all of his belongings stolen and was walking around with the catalytic converter from the thief’s car so that he could sell it to help fund the next leg of his journey. I talked to some juggalos who came all the way from Poland to be there and they were so excited to make the pilgrimage to The Gathering. I talked to people I had met in years past who were now fans of my website and couldn’t wait to see the new shots. I talked to a kid who was on work release and told his parole officer he was “working” the festival. The last time I saw him he was drunk driving a limo through the festival grounds. And I talked to a lot of interesting people who came from all over to be at this festival for the best five days of their year.

This gallery also has some nude juggalette photos in here so it’s properly not safe for work but those photos will show up again in the massive NSFW gallery I am going to be posting of nothing but naked juggalettes tomorrow. Every year that is by far the gallery that gets the most traffic so get excited about it. I still have one more gallery to post later tonight but until then…

Warrior Xtreme Championship MMA

Let me start off by saying I don’t know a damn thing about Mixed Martial Arts. I have a few friends who love it and I must admit that I enjoy watching people kick each other in the face but I am much less interested in submission holds and dudes rolling around on the ground. Muay Thai kick boxing is really great, but the judo ground moves are pretty tedious to me. I am sure if I gave it more of a chance I could get into it, but I haven’t.

So when I heard that there was going to be MMA at the Gathering of the Juggalos I was not even in the slightest bit interested. But when I got to the Gathering it just so happened I had some time to kill during the Warrior Xtreme Championship fight and I decided to check it out… Holy shit MMA is fun to photograph! I jumped up there right next to the cage and pushed my camera right in the fence. I talked to another photographer who gave me some tips to covering it and I started clicking away. I have no idea what happened in any of these matches or who the dudes fighting were but god damn it was fun to shoot. I will say I got a little too close to a few too many scrotums being pushed up against the cage, but other than that awesome. I hope I get a chance to shoot it again as I figure withe some practice I could get a lot better at it. As of now I am not really a action sports photographer. Anyway…

Juggalette Wet T-Shirt Contest

Only the Insane Clown Posse would think up something as revolutionary as a wet t-shirt contest without any t-shirts. Fucking brilliant. Actually what really happened is that for some reason there was no power on that stage so the host had no mics and they didn’t deliver the Faygo to pour all over the girls so the whole thing was going to be canceled. Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on your naked juggalette tolerance) the host decided the best course of action was just to get a bunch of girls on stage and have them take their clothes off. He asked the audience for whatever liquid they could find to pour over the naked juggalettes and the crisis was averted. Thank god.

I don’t know how much more I can say about a gallery of naked girls with Faygo being poured over their heads in kiddie pools but I will tell you to check out the hilarious picture below of the photographer who decided it would be a good idea to just walk right up to the girls and fuck up everyone’s shot so he could get a photo that probably looks like shit. It made for a really funny image though. Note to aspiring photographers. Don’t do that shit.

The Rest Of The Music At The Gathering Of The Juggalos

There were a massive amount of bands at the Gathering of the Juggalos and I think I photographed every single band or rapper to play the main stage. When I was doing my edit any band that had less than 15 photos went into a “Other Bands” folder and that’s what you are getting in this last gallery of photos. Now that I have posted everything else, here is the rest in one final music post. Starting tomorrow you are going to get rocked by the rest of the Gathering madness now that all the live music photos are out of the way… Get excited.

Personal highlights from the left over stuff include Kool Keith and Mack 10. I love Kool Keith but he’s pretty boring to photograph live and I have covered him before so I didn’t shoot much of his set. I used to listen to a lot of West Side Connection so I fuck with Mack 10 a little bit. I almost had a full gallery of the Kottonmouth Kings because they are pretty much jugglaos favorite non-Psychopathic Records act. Tech N9ne gives them a run for their money but I made sure to get a number of shots because they are so popular in this world.

On Tursday night DMX and The Game got scared of juggalos and canceled so they were replaced by Soul Fly for some reason. Imagine buying tickets for The Game and DMX and showing up and it’s Soulfly and Fear Factory. That would be mind blowing. Speaking of Fear Factory they might be the worst band I have heard in three years of the Gathering of the Juggalos. Jesus christ. The should always open for Soulfly because they made Soulfly sound so fucking good in comparison.

This dude Big B played before the Kottomouth Kings unannounced. I am pretty sure he is on their label and Mack 10 was running late. I jokingly said to one of the bouncers in the photo pit “I don’t think this is Mack 10.” and the bouncer replied “That’s actually Mack 7.” That shit was funny.

The only bands left in this folder are Static X and POD. Everyone was really psyched about both of them and I don’t really get it but I am just not into shit like that. That being said they both put on really good live shows. The front man for POD is actually pretty fucking awesome at being a front man and Static X are super weird looking so that makes them fun to shoot. So yeah. Good times.

Now let’s get this shit over with and get on to all the photos of juggalos and naked juggalettes that you came here to see.

Psychopathic Records Artists

I got two more band updates from The Gathering of the Juggalos left. We are gonna get them done today and then start hitting you with the good shit tomorrow. I have a wet t-shirt contest, juggalo portraits, backstage stuff, wrestling and MMA and everybody’s favorite yearly GOTJ update… naked juggalettes. In the mean time let’s get this band stuff out of the way.

First up we have the Psychopathic Records artists (Except ICP who I already posted). I know all my normal fans who are just interested in crazy photos of juggalos don’t give a shit about this stuff, but juggalos care about these bands more than any of the other shit I post so we gotta do this update for all my ‘los and ‘lettes out there.

Let’s break this shit down for those not in the know. Wednesday night the ICP/Twiztid super group Dark Lotus performed. They rarely play outside the Gathering so it’s a pretty big deal. Also on Wednesday night The Psychopathic Rydas played but it was at fucking 4am and I was exhausted after traveling all day so I missed that. On Thursday night Anybody Killa AKA ABK played. He is some sort of Native American clown with a lisp. I honestly don’t get it but the kids love it. On Friday Twiztid did their thing. They are like ICP’s little brothers and a lot of juggalos actually prefer them to ICP. They are undeniably better rappers. On Saturday night ICP headlined but both Blaze Ya Dead Homie and Cold 187um opened for them. Blaze is beloved by juggalos but Cold 187um, a new artist on the label, is fucking hated. ICP brought this legit rapper (who has worked with Eazy E, Dr. Dre and 2Pac) onto their label to do a mix tape using old Psychopathic beats and people hate him for either stepping on their classic shit, or just not wearing clown make up. I can’t figure it out.

On Sunday night, the very last thing at the Gathering is called the Deadly Medley and it features every Psychopathic artist doing songs one after another on the Bomb House stage which is the fucking hardest stage to photograph. Once again Cold 187um got shit thrown at him and dudes with Psychopathic Records tattoos were flicking him off. If you have a label’s logo tattooed to your arm you would think you would want to respect the artists on that label, especially when they have by far the most street cred of anyone on your label… but no clown make up = juggalo hate. This one guy next to me was booing Cold 187 so hard and then when all the artists came out at the end Cold 187um threw that juggalo a t-shirt. During the Deadly Medley Violent J’s brother Jumpsteady came out, and while he is one of the nicer people I have met in the Pyschopathic family he is not very good at rapping. But the kids love him cause he is J’s brother. I have no idea why this anti-Cold 187um shit rubs me the wrong way but it really fucking does. A dude who was on fucking Ruthless Records in 1989 should get more respect than an Indian clown with a lisp god damnit!

Wolfpac

After three Gathering of the Juggalos I have become friends with the dudes in Wolfpac. They are crazy scumbag guys who make their own porn and some fucked up questionable rap music. They are my kinda dudes. They also host the Psychopathic Radio events at the Gathering which is full of nudity, binge drinking and violence.

Wolfpac’s live show involves strippers, fire spitting and a ton dudes in masks running into the crowd trying to incite violence. In the mosh pit people were hitting mother fuckers with chairs and a blue trash barrel was being thrown all over the place. It was pretty majestic. The problem for me was that I kept getting lamp oil all over my camera when little bits of oil that didn’t burn off in the fire spitting would spray down all over the photo pit. Also out of fear of some sort of under cover FBI agent thing the Wolfpac strippers kept pasties on and didn’t do the horrible sexual acts on stage that they are known for. Still it was a wild fucking show and I got a ton of crazy photos. And despite the pasties I still think this gallery is pretty NSFW.
